RISE Services, Inc., a Utah non-profit provider of services for individuals with developmental disabilities, announces the opening of a new Opportunity Center in Logan. This new location will join eight other locations in Utah ranging from St George to Ogden.
RISE Opportunity Centers are progressive day facilities that provide customized programs that fit the needs and desires of the individual. Many individuals with disabilities choose to pursue and obtain competitive, long term employment. For those individuals our pre-vocational activities will help them to learn skills necessary to get and maintain a job. Because of the vast RISE network, qualified Employment Specialists will also be available to provide further employment assistance.
For individuals who do not choose to pursue employment our centers will also focus on teaching and modeling life skills and hobbies that will improve social interactions which lead to more successful community integration. “We encourage people with disabilities to pursue their interests” states Lisa Breitenstein, Executive Director. “Our centers will provide a wide range of activities including instruction and participation in Fine Arts incorporating classes and competitions in art shows, dancing, theater, music education, etc. We believe that by continually advancing our centers to meet the evolving needs of the population we support, we can help to enhance the expectations they have for themselves.”
On December 15th, our newest center located at 120 West 1250 North, will be joining other RISE Services already established in Logan including Family Services, Professional Parents, Respite, a full time Behaviorist, AIM (after school program) and a summer program.
